All companions in Mount and Blade: Warband naturally dislike 2 other heroes. In the circle below, each companion has another hero on their left and right. These are the people they personally dislike. If you have 2 people that one of your companions dislikes in your party, they will inevitably leave you. And that is all you need to know about
Just right click the name to see the stats in the encyclopedia. The last name of the companion determines the stats. Shieldmaidens have high combat stats. Robbers have 60 roguery, etc etc. There is an overview in the encyclopedia of all companions on the map, just pick one, travel to and hire them. #3.
Delegate command makes the guards follow you and is enabled at battle start. Formation commands work and you can order them to charge. (Option) Enable guards for AI generals. There goes my semi elite 80 army i gave him and all i got in return was plus 1 relation with some random merchant. He will recruit and train soldiers. In my experience he will loose more than train and will end with full stack of low tier trash. Last time i created a separate party for my companion he procceded to wreck his face in 5 mins time
The primary method to increase your party size is by raising your clan tier, which occurs by increasing renown from victorious battles. The amount of renown earned is controlled by a fairly straightforward system – the more complex the task at hand, or the more outnumbered you are in battle, the more renown you can achieve.
