I have watched some reviews on youtube regarding M50 and M50 Mkii and I'm worried about the small battery capacity they have when compared to a DSLR, for instance, Canon 200d mark ii I'm already extending my budget buying the M50 mk ii, and I don't want to extend it further to buy an additional battery
The Canon EOS M50 Mark II is Canon's latest mirrorless camera with built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF), updating the M50, it features a 24mp APS-C CMOS sensor, 10fps continuous shooting, 4K video
For landscapes stopped down it is dead easy. 1,5 meters away from the camera at f/5.6 is still dead easy. Good point. Never stopped to consider the focal plane effect of ultra wide optics in the context of manual focus. With 12mm focus only becomes critical using larger apertures and/or subjects closer to the camera.
Canon has always been recognized for its color science, so basic video out of the M50 looks pretty good for a budget, consumer camera. Standard is convenient, but that convenience comes at a cost. Footage can be difficult or even impossible to edit thereafter.
The 500 rule may be used to determine the shutter we want. To get the corresponding focal length of the camera/lens, multiply 500 by your camera’s filled equivalent focal distance. If the camera were full-frame, the lens that goes with Canon M50 has a maximum focal length of approximately 15mm. Thus 500 divided by 35 is around 14.
The Canon M50 is an alright choice for studio video. Video quality in both 4k and FHD is sub-par overall, especially in less well-lit environments, but it does have an effective and reliable autofocus system and an easy-to-use menu system.
February 11, 2023. The Canon M50 is a wonderful tiny camera. It has a 24.1 MP APS-C size CMOS sensor (22.3 x 14.9mm) therefore it is 1.6x smaller compared to a full frame sensor. This is not a big concern for a camera at this price point, especially considering the fact that APS-C sensors today are so good that you can get fantastic results fTcAD.
